I took my Nissan Sentra 2010 to get a new transmittion and it cost me a fortune. On top of that I paid a warrenty fee ouch! The people were nice and helpful hungry for buisness but What I didnt like was that I had to call to check if my car was ready. When they told me it was I went to pick up my car and I drove it for about 2 blocks when it over heated, it did not release any smoke I just notice it on the therm on the dash. When they installed my Transmittion they did not place plenty of water and coolant, If i hadnt notice i could have ruined my car! But luckly I did so I took it back and it stayed there for another night Total of 4 days. When I picked it up it was ready like new. I driven my car to Florida and back with no problems so very pleased with the work and I have no problems with my car anymore.

I was on a road trip from DC to Oklahoma, so Kentucky was my halfway point. My "Check Engine" light went on, which is very alarming to a lone traveler. I was referred to Mr. Transmission by Firestone since it was something too complicated for them. The guys at Mr. Transmission were so nice and accommodating. They took my car in immediately and found out what the problem was and even cleaned my battery among other maintenance duties. They admitted the problem would take several hours to fix, but understood I had to get on the road ASAP. They sent me on my way knowing I will be able to make the next 9 hours of driving and giving me great advice on how I need to fix my transmission when I get home. This helped me regain my confidence. They also told me that I can contact them at any hour if I got into any car trouble. They did all this at NO CHARGE. I've obviously made it home safely and now know exactly what I need to do for my car. They are genuine and actually want to help people, not take their money. I highly recommend this place, they really know what they are doing.

Took my car to another repair place and was told it needed a whole new transmission. Friend told me to get a 2nd opinion. I took it this location thats closer to my home and come to find out, its a sensor. Saved me a lot of money and my car runs a lot better. Havent had any problems since. I do trust these guys at this location. Also I like that its locally owned. I appreciate what they did for me and their honesty. Felt like the other place just wanted my money for a whole new transmission. Tall dark hair guy was very helpful and appreciate him being honest with us. Speak to him, he treated us great!

Wouldn't recommend this shop. Told us they could give us a close estimate for our Saturn's trans for under one hundred dollars. They called us the next day and said it would be $500 and some change to figure out the problem. Day three they called us said the problem could be fixed for $1200 to $1600. So much for the close estimate. We gave them the go ahead, as we already had close to $600 in the repair. Two days later they called and said they had found yet another part in the trans that needed to be replaced and the final total would be $2500. Avoid this shop.

It pains me to write a poor review of this shop because Tim, the owner seems like such a good guy. I give this place a 1 only because he has worked with us to remedy the problems we have had with the rebuilt transmission, albeit it was like pulling teeth at times to get things done. Long story short, the first rebuilt transmission they put in completely failed during a road trip while still under warranty. We paid to have the vehicle towed about 150 miles back to the shop and get repaired. Once we got the vehicle back about a week later, the transmission started slipping. So we returned the vehicle to once again be repaired. The transmission was then rebuilt for a second time. A few weeks after, the service engine light comes on while we are in another state with scan codes indicating more transmission issues. At present time, only after threatening to file a claim with the BBB, we have finally worked out an agreement to get the transmission repaired by another Mr. Transmission with Towing included at no cost to us. Update: Over a year later and we are still having issues with the transmission slipping. The warranty is now up and we are having to fight to get the repairs covered even though the transmission has been taken apart and put back together twice since we had the original job done, and after 6 visits to Mr. Transmission. Please, please take your vehicle somewhere else to get transmission work done.

I've read the previous reviews and am I've read the previous reviews and am wondering if these folks have the right location/service shop. My family has always relied on the owner of this shop to do repairs on our vehicles. We have yet to have experienced an unsatisfactory interaction, and have always been pleased with the honest and reliable professionals who work there. The most recent example of excellent performance was demonstrated when the transmission ECU died on my excursion. This left me in low 4X4. Mr. Kok (shop owner) and I met the following day. He assured me that the vehicle would receive premium care and would be ready for pick up in two days. Two days later, my vehicle was not only repaired, but returned to my work car space with a fresh wash and vacuum. Not only had Mr. Kok and the Mr. Transmission crew lived up to their promises, they went beyond expectation. I would never fear recommending then to family and friend.

After a bad experience with Mr. After a bad experience with Mr. Transmission in 2010, I swore I would never set foot in there again. Unfortunately, after replacing my transmission in 2010 , my car broke down again last week. I was told by a mechanic that it was the transmission. Because it was under warranty, I was compelled to return to my nemesis. This time, there was a new manager, and the owner was on hand as well. They were both extremely courteous and helpful. As it turned out, the transmission was not to blame, but because of my previous horrifying experience, they fixed the mistake the other auto shop had made, as well as repairing an oil leak-all for free. If you have had a bad experience in the past, be assured that George and Mike are doing all they can to improve the quality of work and customer service,

This is an awesome transmission shop. They were recommended to me by another mechanic when he suspected serious internal transmission problems on my F-150 (about a year ago) and had even sent his parents there when they had a transmission problem. Today, I made my second visit to this same Mr. Transmission with my Jeep and its trashed transfer case. It was in bad enough shape that the internal parts had actually punctured through the housing causing all of the fluid to leak out and limp into the shop. I had my Jeep repaired and back to me within 7 hours today. Both times I have been here they have treated me extremely well. The work performed is top notch and both times they have repaired my vehicles to just like new performance. Pricing was up front and all of the staff are really courteous. I really appreciate the great work that Tim, Kent and the rest of their staff perform. As long as this shop is under the same ownership I will never shop around when having drive line repairs performed. Also, after reading the other reviews I looked on the BBB website and they currently have an A- at the Hunsinger location and an A+ at the Preston location.

My chevy truck was having some problems with the way it was handling. Took it in to the Baxter Ave. location, and the guys fixed the hub assembly, which was in pretty bad shape they said... They saved me from what could have been a bad car wreck.... Some months later the check engine light came on, and I took it in there again. They fixed it up, and never had any problems out of it again. I have to say that both of my experiences With Mr. Transmission on Baxter Ave. have been great ones. The staff are very friendly and informative, they have very reasonable prices, and stand by their warranty. I would definitely go to see them for any vehicle issues in the future, and recommend them to my friends and family.
